About Us Mambo Italiano opens Mambo Italiano, an authentic Italian modern restaurant specializing in espresso style cooking in Norcross' Forum Shopping Center, takes the Vespa motor scooter obsession to another place. Using the Vespa (a cross between a motor cycle and a scooter that is popular in Greece & Italy) as the restaurant theme, the modern looking restaurant has two huge murals of Hollywood starlets from the '50s and '60s riding Vespas. To complement the retro feel a mix of Italian and old blue-eyes, Frank Sinatra, are the tunes of choice.
Mambo Italiano's owners wanted to design restaurants that offered the best wood-fired pizza and pasta dishes in a fun, upbeat environment. The interior is filled with restored vintage Vespas around the black and white decor. The open kitchen extends to the bar and incorporates exposed brick ovens. The smell of hickory permeates the interior.
We offer a traditional hand-tossed thin crust Italian pizza prepared over a hardwood fire with the use of an authentic Italian tomato sauce. Other signature dishes include carpaccio ($8), and fritto misto ($9). A very popular pizza is the prosciutto di Parma ($12) served with fresh arugula and shaved Parmesan. Homemade desserts include the popular Italian dessert Tiramisu. Mambo is located at 5165 Peachtree Parkway, The Forum Shopping Center, Norcross, 770.441.3200.
